On The Road
Dutch Star and Subaru ready to go

Not much to report on today as there's not much out here in East Texas. Good thing there's plenty of gas stations because its a long way between towns.
The pups are having a hard time here as there's a ground cover plant that has lots of real sharp thorns that come off the plant like burrs if you touch them. The prongs are about 1/4 inch and surround the burr and will stick into just about anything. I have to take my shoes off before getting back in the motorhome as the soles are full of them.  Needless to say, the pups hate walking through this stuff when they have to go potty.
Tried to wash the bugs off the windshield this morning while getting fuel. The squeegees they have available to do your windshield aren't in the best of shape but I was able to get most of the big pieces of dead bugs off. I'll get the ladder and scrub brush out and do a good job when we get to Alamogordo.
We stopped for the night at a rest area about 50 miles from El Paso and about 120 miles from Alamogordo so we should get there about noon tomorrow.  We looked in the Escapees Travel Guide and found that an RV park in Alamogordo gives 50% discount for Escapee members. That was a good find as we'll be there for four days.
