On The Road

On The Road
Dutch Star and Subaru ready to go

On Friday we watched a new front gate being installed at the RV park. The old gate was made of steel and was badly rusted due to the salt air. The new gate is stainless steel and should stand up to the environment much better. It was a day long process as the workers had to cut the hinges of the old gate off the walls and install new ones. Getting each gate door level with each other took a lot of adjustments.

In the afternoon we walked over to town  and saw the new Malecon (boardwalk)
along the ocean front. We saw the construction last year and it turned out very nice with benches to sit and view the water, beach, boats etc. We were a little hungry so stopped at one of the local restaurants and had a taco and hamburger while sitting at one of their sidewalk tables.

It rained all night and is continuing today as I write this so we won't be doing much of anything today unless the sun comes out later.
